After your registration is done, a seller must have to upload their product catalogue in relevant category. with the primary seller authorization, a seller can make their product live for a buyer on GeM marketplace. Sellers have to understand the specification of the product category to confirm that your catalog is matching the relevant category. if your brand is no available in a category, you can request for “Add New Brand” or select “Unbranded” or “NA” option. You can not edit product specification after product approved.
How to find the relevant product category on GeM?
Login to your GeM account. in the menu section, go to the catalogue and select add new offering from the product section. you will redirect to the product uploading page. Enter your product name in search box, it will automatically display your relevant product category.you are allowed to choose category manually also.
Make sure your profile is 100% complete before uploading products.
What is the authorization code? is it mandatory?
Authorization code is a system-generated code from OEM Panel. The registered manufacturer has the right to generate authorization code for their authorized reseller. this code is only mandatory for resellers only. resellers have to submit this code in the reseller panel in GeM account.
What is L1 Product?
If your order values between INR 25,000 and INR 5,00,000, buyers have to compare your product with 3 different OEMs. L1 Purchase only enables when your quality, quantity, specifications and delivery period as per buyers requirements.

- OEM Authorization document
- GST Invoice showing pack size, model number.
- Any other document(s)

- Upload 3 different images of the product according to the guidelines mentioned here
- Finally submit the process.
